Calendar Management: Blocking Unavailable Time

Your regular weekly availability is set once in your settings page. For one-off or recurring exceptions, use the methods below.

Scenario 1: Block a Specific Time on a Single Day

Something's come up and you need to close off a window of time on a particular day. Set a start and end time for that day — only that day is affected.

"Add unavailable time" form: a date picker showing a specific date, start time set to 14:00, end time set to 17:00, repeat set to "Does not repeat", and a "Confirm" button on the right. Below the form, a preview row with a red background shows "Wed 4 Jun · 14:00–17:00 blocked."

Steps: Calendar → Add unavailable time → Select date and time range → Repeat: Does not repeat → Confirm

Note: Once blocked, new booking requests for that slot will be declined automatically. Existing confirmed bookings are not affected — contact those customers directly if needed.

Scenario 2: Set a Recurring Unavailable Period

If you take the same time off every week — for example, every Wednesday afternoon or the first Monday of each month — set it once and it repeats automatically.

"Add unavailable time" form: date set to a specific day, time set to "All day", repeat dropdown open with "Every week" selected (highlighted in pink), and an "Ends on" date field set to 2025/12/31. Below, a preview row shows date pills "6/4", "6/11", "6/18" in red followed by "…every Wednesday until 12/31", with a "Confirm" button on the right.

Steps: Calendar → Add unavailable time → Set time range → Repeat: Every week / Every month → Set end date → Confirm

Tip: This works well for flexible recurring breaks that don't follow your regular weekly schedule — such as a fixed monthly day off, or a temporary weekly pause during a particular period.
