Booking Notifications: How to Know When a Customer Books and What to Do
When a customer submits a booking request, you'll receive a notification and can choose to accept or decline. This directly affects the customer's experience, so respond as quickly as you can.
How You're Notified
Every new booking request triggers the following notifications:
- Browser notification: If you've allowed web notification permissions, your browser will show a desktop notification
- In-page notification bell: In the top-right corner of the page after logging in; unread notifications show a badge count — tap it to view them

Tip: If your browser asks whether to allow notifications, choose "Allow" — that way you'll get a prompt even when you're not on the Glow360 page.
How to Handle a Booking Request
Confirm a Booking
If the time slot and service work for you, tap "Confirm". The customer is notified immediately and the slot is marked as booked on your calendar.
If all pending requests are conflict-free, you can also tap Confirm All on the notification list to handle everything at once.
To confirm individually: Notification calendar → Open booking details → Confirm
To confirm all at once: Notification calendar → Confirm All
Decline a Booking
Declining must be done one at a time. If you're fully booked or otherwise unable to take the appointment, tap "Decline" and optionally provide a reason. The customer will be notified and can choose a different time.
Steps: Notification calendar → Open booking details → Decline → Optionally add reason → Confirm
Tip: Adding a reason helps maintain a good customer experience — for example, "This slot is fully booked" or "Something came up; please try another time."
Response Time
Please respond to new booking requests within 24 hours. If the deadline passes without a response, the system will notify the customer and remind you about the pending request.
Note: If you know you won't be able to respond to notifications for a period (e.g., while travelling), block off that time in your calendar in advance to avoid receiving requests you can't handle. → Calendar Management
FAQ
I'm not seeing browser notifications — what should I do?
Check that your browser has allowed notification permissions for Glow360. To update the setting: click the lock icon to the left of the address bar → Notifications → Allow. Even without browser notifications enabled, the notification bell in the top-right corner after logging in will still show all pending requests.
A customer's booking slipped past me — what now?
Going over 24 hours without responding doesn't automatically confirm or decline the request — it stays as "Pending", but the customer has already received a delay notice. Log in to Glow360 and handle it as soon as possible. If you can't take the booking, decline it so the customer can find another slot.
Can I enable auto-confirm for bookings?
Auto-confirm is not currently supported. Each booking request must be handled manually.
