ZINK Tattoo

What a great experience to get my first tattoo at ZINK tattoo. From the very beginning, the consultation with Vivi and Zac was exceptional. They took the time to explain every detail of the process, address all of my questions and concerns, and make me feel completely comfortable and confident in having my first tattoo done here. The level of hygiene and professionalism throughout the entire experience was truly impressive. It was clear that providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for your clients is a top priority. And of course, I am thrilled with the final result- the art piece that Zac created on my arm is absolutely beautiful. He is an incredibly talented artist, and I'm so grateful that he was able to bring my vision to life in such an incredible. It was so worth the wait!

Zac has done quite a few of my tattoos over the years since 2011. His work never ceases to amaze me (which is why I always come back). He’s always very thoughtful in trying to understand what I envision while sharing his advice on what will work well or how things can be better (ie what would be the right size, better placement, how to accentuate certain things etc). The level of thoughtfulness that goes into his work is unmatched. As I’ve also gotten tattoos from 3 other different artists over the years, Zac is my favorite by far. He’s attentive, he listens, and he puts a lot of care into every single detail. Also as a long time customer over the years, I must also say I really appreciate the service and care from Zac’s partner Vi. She’s always responsive and helpful, she manages all the logistics and ensures there’s clarity in the process, sets the right expectations and does her best to make accommodations whenever possible. The care is also shown through the effort the pair put into remodeling their studio and to the overall cleanliness and hygiene that is maintained for the decade plus that I’ve visited. I’m looking forward to getting a new pet portrait by him in the future and cannot wait!

If you’re looking for a tattoo in the Hong Kong/ Shenzhen area, it is definitely worth the trip to this studio in Tsim Sha Tsui. I’m from the US and lived in Hong Kong this past year and I received two pieces of art from Zac in December and in June and I am absolutely amazed. I highly recommend this shop. His work is hands down the best quality of tattoo I’ve received and my favorite tattoos thus far. My first tattoo healed wonderfully too. His patience, creativity, and talent are wonderful. The level of detail and realism he is able to create is beyond explanation. It’s something you have to experience if you’re looking for great quality art in HK! The energy in the shop is amazing and very comfortable. When I am looking for a quality tattoo shop, I am looking for cleanliness, calm atmosphere, hospitality, collaboration, and connection with the artist and Zink Tattoo Shop exceeds all of these and beyond. Zac and Vivi own the shop and work so well together especially with translation for foreigners and making sure everything is clear and discussed between him and the customer and always making sure the customer loves the artwork. It’s lovely to see these two be so welcoming and great to collaborate with on price, budget, size, type of tattoo, and any concerns you have. It’s not rushed at all and consultations are free. Zac and Vivi are truly some of the kindest people I met in Hong Kong and I am so happy to have stumbled upon this tattoo shop a few months ago and meet them and be able to come back for a second piece of art in six months. I am so happy with his work. It’s impossible to leave this studio without an awesome permanent memory. I came back twice and hope i can back for a third piece when visiting Hong Kong in the future! I can't recommend this studio enough for anyone interested in art and tattoos. Thank you both for your time and beautiful artwork. You both are awesome!

Zac and Vivi are awesome and super patient. Zac's a great artist who gives you advice from a holistic point-of-view. So you're bound to be getting a tattoo that looks great from close, as well as from far and harmoniously feels part of your body, rather than only sticking out as a design alone. (Update Dec '21: Pic here is a recent one of my tattoo, 2+ years on, and I find myself loving it increasingly more each day as it grows on me!)
