St John’s Cathedral Counselling Service (SJCCS) is a self-sufficient non-profit counselling and psychotherapy provider in Hong Kong, serving the community since 1970 as an Outreach Ministry of St John’s Cathedral. Affordable, evidence-based and multilingual (support in 15 languages), SJCCS brings together a team of over 30 qualified counsellors, therapists, clinical social workers and psychologists. Clients value the compassionate, client‑centred approach, and the safe, confidential setting that supports personal growth and healing. Support is available for individuals, couples, families, children and teenagers. Therapists help clients navigate grief and loss, stress and mood concerns, PTSD and trauma, relationship and parenting challenges, addiction, and academic or work difficulties. The focus is on practical, evidence‑based care tailored to each person’s needs, empowering people to build lasting wellbeing. SJCCS offers individual and couples therapy, family and parenting counselling, premarital programmes, mediation, psychological testing and assessment, and group therapy. For organisations and schools, the team provides Employee Assistance Programmes, school‑based counselling, community talks and workshops, and professional training, including the Gottman Seven Principles Couples Workshop and the iACT Programme.
