All first-time piercing experiences should be like this, and Sara and Jonathan have set a gold standard that the entire industry should strive to meet. I recently brought my 12-year-old daughter for her first piercing, and it was one of the most educational and comforting experiences we’ve ever had. It was even EMPOWERING! Getting your ears pierced for the first time can be a daunting experience. My daughter was very nervous but determined, and Brilliance Bay made the entire process smooth, empowering, and even enjoyable. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze with their user-friendly online booking system. Ahead of the appointment, they sent detailed information to prepare us, which helped my daughter feel informed and in control. While the level of detail initially heightened her nervousness, it ultimately gave her the confidence to know exactly what to expect. Sara was phenomenal and clearly an expert at what she does. She took out two precision rulers to meticulously measure the width and height of the earlobes, examining the potential piercing location from all angles to ensure it was perfect. Her calm demeanor and thoughtful technique instantly put my daughter at ease. Sara even had specific methods to keep the process lighthearted and calming for a child. BREATH! At the moment of the piercing, my daughter was smiling, completely reassured and confident that she was in good hands. Jonathan was equally amazing in his orientation. He was patient, kind, and thorough. He explained every step of the process, answered all of our questions, and helped us select the best hardware—balancing comfort, ease of maintenance, and aesthetics. What stood out the most was the time and space he gave my daughter to make her own decisions. This wasn’t just about a piercing—it was a masterclass in showing young girls the importance of autonomy over their bodies. I never thought about how a piercing could be either empowering or traumatic, depending on the approach, but Brilliance Bay got everything right. Sara and Jonathan are champions of raising industry standards, creating an environment where respect, information, and consent take center stage. Absolutely amazing. Sara got me my first piercing 2.5 years ago, and I have been back for 4 more! Sara is amazing, takes plenty of time (and then some!) to show placements that match your anatomy, and listens carefully to what you may want. She advises but doesn't push you to do anything. She is incredibly patient, which is great for people like me that have tons of questions. The jewelry options are endless and all truly beautiful. The aftercare is superb. Jonathan provided invaluable and informative guidance on proper, practical aftercare for my ear piercing, and assisted me in selecting a timeless piece of jewellery that also reflected my personal style. Moreover, he exibited an impressive collection of high-quality jewellery. Their beautiful and extensive collection of jewellery is among the few exquisite ones I’ve ever seen in Hong Kong. You can truly find rare, unique pieces to really make the most of the piercing you came in desiring; or even inspire you to spontaneously choose a whole different piercing that better fits your personality and accentuates your other piercings. Ultimately, this is where you will achieve that perfect, sought-out, curated ear of your dreams. The Technician’s MO Finally, I admire Sara’s unwavering cheerful demeanour despite the challenges of interacting with customers on a daily basis, even on busy Saturdays. It is easy to overlook the difficulties of working in customer service, but Sara consistently manages to provide top-quality service with ease. Sara is known for her comforting approach to piercing, which is both physically and mentally painless. She achieves this by providing thorough explanations throughout the piercing process, helping to put her clients at ease. Truly excellent service especially considering the fact that there are only two individuals, Sara and Jonathan, running the entire operation.

Easy to find, place is neat and hygienic, relaxing and professional atmosphere. They are efficient, but made sure to brief me on aftercare and what to expect, and took their time answering my questions. Overall great experience, and my best experience getting a piercing so far!
