Ratings and reviews from Google
Surprised there’s not many reviews of the gym. Was glad I popped by to see for myself. Went on a weekday morning, gym was pretty occupied. Had to queue to use the machines, but apart from that all good. Managed to squeeze in different muscle groups workout between sets. Gym is a 10-15mins walk from Mountbatten MRT, spacious and nice view overseeing the main road and pool… gym is bigger than the ActiveSG in Serangoon. Staff at entrance was fairly fierce (compared to the other ActiveSG I’ve been to…) it could be the time of day or the weather. Haha will be back again to verify 🤭🤪
always a busy gym, base on my observation its great around 4pm on weekends where capacity is around 25-35%. they have 5 treadmills, 2 elliptical trainer, 1 rowing 2 bikes. capacity accuracy on ActiveSG website is a not entirely accurate though…i wish it was.
This ActiveSG gym, while a bit of a walk from Mountbatten MRT (around 10 to 15 minutes), is a solid option if you don’t mind the distance. It’s definitely one of the smaller ActiveSG gyms in Singapore, featuring a decent range of equipment: a bench press, an incline bench press, a squat rack, and two cable machines. There are also some benches and other basic machines. Due to space constraints, there’s no dedicated deadlift corner, so it might not meet the needs of advanced lifters. However, it’s sufficient for beginners and gets the job done for me personally. Just a heads-up, the gym can get busy with secondary school students in the afternoon, which means you might need to share machines. On the bright side, it’s conveniently located next to the Katong Swimming Complex, so you can enjoy a swim after your workout. Overall, it’s a practical choice if you’re nearby and don’t require an extensive array of gym ammenities.
