Hougang ActiveSG Sports Centre

ActiveSG Hougang Sport Centre sits within a mature Hougang estate and serves the community with well‑managed, upgraded facilities and popular sports programmes. Formerly known as Hougang Sport and Recreation Centre, it brings together four key venues: Hougang ActiveSG Gym, Hougang Sport Hall, Hougang Stadium and Hougang Swimming Complex — convenient options to keep active close to home. Fresh from a major rejuvenation and reopened on 30 May 2026, the centre now offers more comfort, capacity and all‑weather access. The gym has expanded from 570 sqm to 940 sqm, with an enlarged Gym Activity Room to support more class‑based activities. The indoor sports hall features improved ventilation and retractable seating for up to 250 spectators, and is lined for 12 courts, including four dedicated to pickleball and eight multipurpose courts for badminton, basketball and volleyball. At the swimming complex, you’ll find the outdoor pool alongside a new sheltered training pool for all‑weather use, plus a refreshed children’s wading pool with playful water cannons and fountains. Hougang Stadium’s running track has been resurfaced. Across the campus, lighting has been refreshed, toilets and changing rooms upgraded, and new sheltered and open areas created for events and classes. A larger drop‑off porch doubles as an event space during car‑free periods, and the grounds now include two adult fitness stations, a multi‑use space for mass activities and free community use, and expanded basketball facilities with two full courts plus a 3×3 court. With gym memberships and programmes that cater to different life stages — including residents transitioning into the third age — the centre supports an active lifestyle for everyone in the neighbourhood.
