The Brilliant Cut

I have been to Brilliant Cut since it was first established about 3 decades ago or so. Unfortunately I have not gotten around to writing a review about Brilliant Cut until now because I think that it is high time that I ought to give credit where credit is due. My hair has been mostly managed by one of Raymond's assistants all these years mainly because I'm only there every month for them to touch up my greying roots. I recall there was one particular occasion some 20 years ago when I decided to try out hair rebonding at another hair salon out of curiosity and my hair turned out to be so badly damaged that I had to come back to Brilliant Cut and ask Raymond for help. He looked at it quietly and started snipping it off. The cut was done so beautifully that I had many people complimenting on my new hairstyle and asking me for the hairstylist who cut it. Raymond literally saved my damaged hair with his brilliant cut and ever since that experience, I would not leave Brilliant Cut unless Raymond decides to retire. Raymond is very skillful and talented when it comes to texturizing hair and colouring. He is honest with his opinions and does not try to sell me any product or scalp treatment / services just to earn more money. He recently did some highlights on my hair and again, I received many compliments from colleagues and relatives. Raymond uses Goldwell Elumen colour (without peroxide and ammonia) to cover my greys without damaging my scalp. In terms of knowledge and cutting skills, none of Raymond's current or past assistant hairstylists can measure up to his competency and standard. I would only allow my husband's hair to be cut by Raymond because only he can achieve that kind of cut that many hairstylists out there are not able to do so.

Raymond was professional and very knowledgeable about hair. He did a great cut and colour. It was easy to communicate about what I wanted and he delivered. His attention to detail was superb. One of the best I've been to in Singapore for colouring. Will definitely be coming back.

Raymond is a highly skilled professional who gives good advice and will only recommend what he sincerely feels suits our hair but does not push his products. He is passionate about what he does.

Brilliant Cut has moved from Rail Mall to Dairy Farm , easy and free parking in the condo , less human traffic , better for this covid time when I am avoiding crowded places. My family has been going to them for the last 20 years. Trusted both Connie and Raymond with my perm and hair cut.

Wendy is my regular hairstylist. I always get my hair cut and blown here. She does an excellent job with long asian hair. Her scalp massages are also great and she does a fantastic blowout.
