Amazing gym offering a range of classes including strongman/woman training. Big open space, great rig, fantastic coaches and great fellow members. No air con which I prefer, get a proper sweat on and no stuffy room, but lots of fans and a couple of industrial coolers to keep you relatively cool. Love it. So glad to have found this place. Thanks SOS
A community-focused gym with attentive and knowledgeable coaches. SOS was only the second Crossfit gym that I visited back in 2015/16, but I immediately felt at home after my first class. I signed up for a year's membership right off the bat and never looked back. The gym has moved a couple of times, and members come and go, but the core of the gym is still very much intact. Friendly members, encouraging coaches - shoutout to Cheryl and Emman and previously Gifford, Wan Jing and Ian - and athletes and a wonderful place to continue your fitness journey. No matter where you are on the fitness spectrum, there's always something for everyone. The coaches will scale workouts to suit your capabilities and people will cheer you on regardless of whether you come first or last in the workout. Classes available include Crossfit / functional fitness, Olympic lifting, strength, Strongman and gymnastics. There's also open gym available for people who want to work out on their own. The current gym is based in an old tennis court, and can sometimes get quite wet if it rains. However, head coach and owner Lewis recently did renovations to build a concrete platform that looks to address the issue. The equipment are of varying age, but generally very usable, and there are always new barbells and machines coming in to replace broken ones. All in all, a very nice place to start or continue working out and also make friends to cheer you on and improve together.
Very nice team and a hell of a workout! I usually burn at least 600 kcal in one workout and lose a few liters of water! Haha Thank you again for the sweat!
Great gym with an old school rustic vibe to it! I love how professional, meticulous and welcoming the coaches are that has created a wonderful gym culture. You can also count on the programming to leave you feeling accomplished and excited for you next session. Highly recommend!
I've been a member of SOS gym for 7yrs or longer. Can't remember cos I felt like I've known some of the coaches, members and owner for very long! One of the few reasons why I keep coming back to the gym were because of the supportive community, coaches and lastly the gym owner Lewis. The gym is a place for me to not only de-stress my day away but also to chill and meet up with other members who eventually became my friends. The gym equipments and the area is an adult playground. So many variety of exercise equipments and regimes to choose from! With the gym being an inclusive one I had met members from various nationalities and background who are not only supportive but respectful of each other beliefs and orientation. Other than those reasons and with the gym offering reasonable gym fees will certainly make me return for many more long years to come. Thumbs up!!
