Rise Above Tattoo & Piercing

I had a great experience with Jason! He was not only personable but also incredibly accommodating with my 3-year-old toddler in tow. 😂 The environment was clean, and all equipment was sterile. I got 3 lobe piercings, and while there was some bleeding and pain during the procedure—nothing unexpected—Jason took meticulous care of the fresh wounds immediately, which really put me at ease. The technique was excellent, and I had no itchiness, soreness, or redness afterward. By the evening (few hours after the session), my piercings felt like they had already healed, and I was able to sleep on my sides without discomfort or worry. Of course, I’m following the aftercare instructions Jason provided to ensure proper healing. Thanks for the excellent work!

great place to get my ear piercing! the previous ones I had from jewelry shops have historically gave me infections after piercing, but none of that from this store! this is 2 months after, it has healed very well with no infections so far. Very satisfied with the results from the piercer (Jason I think was his name), will be back if I ever want to get piercings elsewhere, thanks! :)

After researching on types of ear piercing, realised the best is needle piercing which Rise Above does, as it is less traumatic on the flesh, unlike gun/stapler type that forces relatively blunt studs through earlobe with a lot of force. Found Rise Above on Google maps, reviews were great, so decided to give it a try. Went down to check out the place, far east plaza level 4 turn right once you come out of lifts, was told to go to website to make booking. Received email confirmation. My young daughters and I pierced our ears there over 2 weekends. First weekend - 12yo pierced earlobes both sides, and I pierced both earlobes 2nd hole with her. 7yo pierced earlobe one side, then chickened out and didn't want to pierce other earlobe. Weekend after, my 7yo supposed to pierce other earlobe but was still too frightened from previous week. In the end, I pierced one side helix only, would have pierced 2 sides helix if she had pierced her other earlobe as well. All our piercings are healing well. Piercer (I think his name is Jason) was very patient with my daughters, would chat and joke with them to get them to relax around him. When my 7yo refused to pierce other side, he tried his best to help us convince her, but ultimately didn't force her and didn't lose patience with her. Cost of piercing - sgd35 per hole. Earring provided is titanium screw on type, both ends are rounded, very hygienic. Jason provides small bottle of saline solution, gives instructions to clean the piercing twice daily for 2 days. The solution is sufficient for a week if you use sparingly. Pain level wise, earlobe piercing was very manageable, only hurt during those few seconds. Helix piercing was quite painful, bearable but significantly more than earlobe. Helix area was throbbing for an hour after. Also due to the position, the backing keeps getting caught in hair, which hurts. Overall a great piercing experience, will recommend. My 12yo didn't even flinch, it was not so painful because the needle was sharp and Jason was skilled. For younger kids like my 7yo, might be a problem as this place can't pierce concurrently. My 7yo told uncle Jason she'll be back in 5 years' time when she is as brave as her older sis to pierce other earhole 😅 Another downside would be the limited type of earring. Wish there were other designs such as diamond studs or lighter silver colour to choose from.

Think i have about 4-5 cartilage piercings that was done here with piercer Jason. But i wrote this review because all the piercings healed very well and i came by to the shop today due to one of my forward helix stud got stuck and require his help to remove he literally removed within seconds. Jason was absolutely professional—patient, caring, and incredibly efficient throughout the entire process, making my nipple piercing experience truly incredible! He put me at ease, and explained everything clearly, from the procedure to aftercare as well as where to get the product if I ever ran out. He even suggested postponing my septum piercing for another time, considering my pain sensitivity, which I really appreciated.
