We met our ID, Erwin, at an ID fair and it was a great start to the creation of our beautiful home. Of the few IDs we met, he stood out as being able to accommodate us in terms of our budget and preferred aesthetics and design. He has also been responsive and helpful in following up on our various requests. Erwin has been flexible in assisting us to save costs where possible, suggesting alternatives in design and materials, and also liaising and working with other suppliers or helping to fix some of the furniture that we purchased separately. Design wise, he readily worked on various layouts and adjusted his design to suit our preferred layout. He understood the assignment very well when we requested for a modern colonial theme with accents of chinoiserie and rendered 3D drawings with the actual furniture we had identified for purchase. This made it very easy for us to visualise the end results. He also helped to pre-identify special tiles and other materials ahead of our shopping and meetings, which were well selected that we generally went ahead with his suggestions. Admittedly, there were some issues during the renovation process concerning carpentry and painting works, but thankfully Erwin was always responsive to address our concerns and rectify to our satisfaction. Timeline wise, there was a delay in our preferred move in period, and it also took a while to tie up the loose ends. But considering the overall process, we are really glad to have Erwin working alongside us to turn our vision into reality and the end product is very similar to the 3D rendering. We had a pleasant experience working with Gloria and Keif, and we’re glad we chose them for our renovation. While their quote was higher than other firms we met, their professionalism stood out which made us choose them. Overall, they were very transparent with costs and we didn’t have to worry about being unfairly charged. Throughout the process, they were prompt with updates and constantly checked in to ensure we were comfortable with the progress and service. We appreciate their self-reflective attitude and commitment to improve. We changed our minds a few times but yet they were very patient with us and provided all the requested revisions to the renders. Their keen eye for design helped us create a beautiful, yet functional home. We’re glad they micromanaged us in choosing certain aspects of the furnishing, such as lighting and mirrors and their honesty in pointing out when our choices didn’t quite work (haha!). What stood out the most, was their meticulous attention to detail and the high quality of their contractors. Even though their prices are higher than others, the quality of work and peace of mind is truly worth it. We’ve heard horror stories from friends/neighbours about shoddy workmanship, and are glad we experienced none of that here. The overall carpentry build quality was excellent, and even the electrical installations were seamless. No renovation is without its hiccups, but they were quick to address and rectify issues. One area for improvement would be closer management with external contractors. For instance, an issue during our aircon installation with an external contractor could’ve been avoided if there had been a more hands-on approach from the IDs, though it was not entirely their fault, and they did try their best to rectify the situation in the end. Overall the team’s design expertise, functional suggestions, and professional advice made this entire journey smooth and enjoyable for us. Our home turned out exactly like the 3D renders and we are very happy with the outcome. We would recommend Gloria and Keif to anyone looking for a reliable interior designer. Engaged Shi Min as our interior coordinator. She is enthusiastic in her job and has a good sense of responsibility. Responses well to our queries and did her best to follow up on all our requests. She does not shy away from dealing with issues head on and will try to resolve them to her best of her abilities. The team, from the carpenter to the painter to tiler, she pulled in was skilled in their craft. We had no major issues with their work. We are very pleased with the end product and enjoying every corner of our house. Thank you!
