I originally knew about this shop since my friends have been recommending this place. It’s known for its colouring services. It’s also rather near my home so the convenience factor is there. I originally asked the boss, (Ady) if he could do a half head bleach which was a rather silver colour. He quoted me $300 and I agreed on it since it seemed reasonable for my hair length. I wanted my hair to be completely dyed but the boss said that with my hair length a fully dyed hair wouldn’t look good on me unless I wanted to cut it. Since I didn’t want to cut it, I went with the half head dye. I haven’t bleached my hair or dyed it for over 10 years. They were very welcoming and helped to do my hair. Offered me a cup of tea too. I was given 3 treatments, 2 were Olaplex and one was the Medulla Care treatment. I decided to change it to a light brown colour (I was thinking that it would be cute since it would match my dog’s fur) thinking that it would be slightly cheaper because the bleaching process would be lesser. As I know that the bleaching process is the tedious part that requires a lot of work. I was given 2 rounds of bleach, no toning was used so my hair is still rather yellow / orangey. While I’m glad that my hair didn’t fall out during the bleaching process, I would have hoped that the dye job could have been a little cheaper since it was only 2 rounds of bleach. Especially since I originally wanted a silver color which would have probably required at least 3-5 rounds of bleaching? Since that would have required more bleaching rounds, the quoted price of $300 is reasonable. I also made the mistake of wearing a new T-shirt that ended up getting stained with bleach, but it’s alright. The price isn’t that cheap as well but this will be a learning lesson for me. However if you do love dyeing your hair tons of colours, do go ahead and patronise the shop! They are extremely knowledgeable in dyeing hair and they have a wide selection of colours to choose from. There’s also treatments available for the dye job. 💕
