AWWA Rehab & Day Care Centre

AWWA Rehab & Day Care Centre (RDCC) provides centre-based rehabilitation and meaningful daytime engagement for adults with physical disabilities and seniors, including those transitioning home after a hospital stay. Backed by AWWA’s multi-professional team, the centre focuses on maximising independence and helping each person remain connected to everyday life in the community. Structured rehabilitation is delivered by a multidisciplinary team through physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy. This is complemented by centre-based nursing and case management, as well as group and individual exercises, games, and social and recreational activities that build function, confidence and social ties. Caregivers are supported through assessments, training and referral services so that care at home is safer and more sustainable. Rooted in inclusion and community, RDCC links care with education and everyday participation. The purpose-designed space at the ground-floor void deck of a public housing block in Ang Mo Kio uses generous daylight, warm finishes and transparent, flexible rooms to make activities visible and inviting while balancing privacy—encouraging neighbourhood involvement and a sense of belonging. Established in 1998 (formerly AWWA READYCARE Centre), RDCC continues AWWA’s mission to address social gaps across life stages and enable people in Singapore to live out their aspirations with dignity and support.
